NOxFREE®Exhaust Gas SCR（Selective Catalytic Reduction）System

The exhaust gas cleaning system (EGCS NOxFree) is independently developed by Qingdao Sunrui Marine Environment Engineering Co., Ltd to reduce the nitrogen oxides emissions of marine diesel engine. The principle of the system is the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) method, that is, under the action of a catalyst, the reducing agent reacts with nitrogen oxides within a certain temperature range (280-450ºC) to generate harmless nitrogen and water. In order to ensure the safety of personnel, the urea solution is sprayed into the high temperature exhaust gas to decompose it to produce ammonia gas. The system is composed of catalytic reaction unit, urea dosing unit and control system.

1. Catalytic Reaction Unit

1.1 SCR Catalyst

The catalyst type is DNX-LD corrugated plate, which is specially designed for diesel engine De-NOx. The advantages of the catalyst are:

1.High activity;

2.Low effects on SO₂ oxidation;

3.High Resistance to Toxicity;

4.Anti-vibration designing of the structure;

5. High tolerance of heating and mechanical shocks.

1.2 SCR Rector

The reactor is made of high temperature resistant materials, and the inlet is equipped with a guide device to ensure the uniformity of the flue gas; each layer of the reactor is equipped with a soot blowing device to ensure the activity of the catalyst; the sealing structure is scientific to effectively prevents the flue gas from escaping.

1.3 SCR Mixer

The integration of evaporation and mixing is adopted on the mixer, which is small in size and easy to arrange. The design of the diversion structure is sophisticated, which improves the mixing effect of exhaust gas and ammonia gas. A dual-fluid structure is adopted on the urea spray gun, and compressed air is used to provide the atomization performance of the urea solution.

2. Urea Dosing Unit (UDU)

A dual-fluid spray gun is used in the UDU, and compressed air is used to improve the atomization effect of the urea solution.

3. Control System

3.1Sunrui Control

• Control the urea supply, the standby heating system, the soot blowing and the venting system based on MDT signals.

• Send operation status data to MDT

3.2MDT Control

• Judge the SCR running mode.

• Control the main valves (RBV, RTV, RSV, CBV).

• Reducing agent calculation and dosing.

Monitor NO_XEmission.
